Our The American Legion was chartered and incorporated by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic veterans organization devoted to mutual helpfulness. It is the nation’s largest wartime veterans service organization.
Locally, we support numerous programs that has a direct impact on improving the lives of our fellow veterans and their families.

The S.A.L. is made up of male descendants, adopted sons and stepsons of people who served in the US Armed Forces as specified by the American Legion.
ALSPL Post 416 helps provide clothing, toiletries and other items to veterans at both the main hospital and all 3 Fisher Houses within the campus.
